Responsibility to Protect or R2P was created to foster peace globally but it only ended up fuelling the hegemonic ambitions of super powers .

What started as a way to empower nations under turmoil ended up creating an unequal distribution of power. R2P basically gives super powers the licence to kill and break law under the false pretences of fostering peace.
